Route

There are several wharfs, placed conveniently alongside the River Vltava, and each client is completely free to choose whichever he prefers, without any alteration of his sightseeing cruise. And what are the wonders that the traveller may behold? Here we present a selection of the most precious architectural jewels as well as other sightseeing gems, glorified by legend and enjoying general acclaim, which one can see only with our boating company.

First, there are the original and so far unseen views of the well-known panorama featuring Prague Castle, the seat of the Kings of Bohemia. When observed from the river, the castle seems even more royal and noble than it does to an ordinary pedestrian. From all possible angles, the beauties of the noble work of Emperor Charles IV are revealed, including the bridge which his faithful master-builder Peter Parler built over the river. The construction of our boats, which can navigate anywhere on the river, also allows you to observe the so-called zero arch, which is completely hidden from the sight of pedestrians. And a veritable feast for the eye of the connoisseur and admirer of Czech culture and history is provided by sailing underneath the last arch of Judith Bridge, the worthy predecessor of Charles Bridge. This wholly unique spot is now completely hidden underneath Křížovnické square, and is known only by genuine experts on Prague topography.

Wharfs

There are four wharfs. The ones most often used are the Judita and Čertovka wharfs, both located very close the famous Charles Bridge. These two wharfs are used as boarding points for the regular 1-hr sightseeing cruises. Boats depart on the hour, every hour.

Fleet:

Fast river cruiser ‘Nepomuk': The crown and jewel of our fleet is this fast cruiser which bears the name of St. John of Nepomuk. Aboard the Nepomuk, you can sail, with other travellers or privately, down the River Vltava to the town of Mělník, admiring the magnificent chateaus along the banks. This vessel boasts a comfortable saloon arrangement, and choice delicacies are served here which will satisfy many a gourmet. What's more, the ship is equipped with a unique diesel engine that enables it to furrow through the waters of the Vltava at extraordinary speed.

Vessels: Our vessels are of two types. The first, which we introduce here, is a river boat that is 6.5 meters long and 2 meters wide. This craft has room for up to eleven passengers. It is built in imitation of a Vltava river boat of olden times which bore the name "naked man" (naháč). In this boat, we can navigate the river shoals without any difficulty.

Large vessels: Apart from the fleet of small boats, we also offer also larger vessels, each of which can contain three times as many passengers as the small boat. Although our mid-size boats are almost 10 meters long and 3 meters wide, their flat bottoms enable them to sail wherever they please.

Unique equipment:

The equipment and the appearance of our boats are a completely truthful replication of boats of the last century. The interior equipment, brass fittings and other design features correspond to those found in boats built at the end of the 19th century.
